I got this amazing bag some time ago last year so have had a good few months in using it.
This bag is called ‘First Date’, very striking in colour (yes, it really is that bright) and from a Taiwanese company called Jump From Paper. They specialise in making bags that create an optical illusion and appear 2D when infact, it’s 3D!
My bag’s dimensions are:
- Contracted: 41.5x52x2 cm
- Extended: 41.5x52x8 cm
I could get a small foldable umbrella and my medium sized make up bag There is another small zip compartment at the back for flat things such as notebooks, passports etc The back of the bag is hard canvas so it helps the bag keep it’s 2D effect and prevent it from collapsing into a pile like soft bags would. I would say it’s a little tight and limited with what you can carry in it but for the effect, it is worth it!
It cost me $70 plus about $20 shipping which is about £60 (about two weeks to arrive). I also got slapped a further £20 customs charge, so be prepared to pay that if you are going to order one.
It certainly drew attention on public transport and fellow commuters do a double take.
